Sachin Tendulkar And His Love For Cars !

The cricket fever is on and even though the ‘God of Cricket’ has retired, Indian cricket is incomplete without a mention of his absolute class. So, we decided to see if the Master on the pitch is also a Master when it comes to his car collection and we tell you, we weren’t even a tad disappointed.

Starting with his most luxurious possessions of all, it is this very special BMW 760Li. Now we mean every bit of it when we call it ‘special’ as it is one of the very few 7’ers that are loaded with the ‘Individual’ package.

While the exteriors are almost similar to a standard one, the interiors are wrapped in plush white leather with custom ‘ST’ logos stitched to the headrests, door sill and other places. Talking about the engine, this beast is powered by a massive 6.0 litre V12 producing 544bhp and 750Nm of torque. Price? A cool 1.95 Crores!

Being the brand ambassador of BMW, Sachin owns a fleet of Bimmers and the second of those is this X5 M50d.

However, don’t mistake this car for any other BMW X5, for it has been put through BMW’s ‘M’ treatment and gets a 3.0 litre 6-cylinder turbocharged engine which produces 381bhp and 740Nm torque propelling it to a 100km/h from standstill in just 5.3 seconds! Also, you can’t buy this in India as it was specially imported for Sachin by BMW.

Next on the line is yet another BMW, this one is the M6 Gran Coupe.
Now what makes it special just like its owner is that it was the very first M6 Gran Coupe imported in India and came finished in a rare ‘Frozen Silver’ paint shade that is one of a kind.

Just like Sachin, all his cars boast of something that sets them apart from the rest of the models.
Following the same lines is his matte grey BMW M5 ’30 Jahre M5’ Limited Edition, which is one of the only 300 built by BMW to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of M5.

The car is powered by a 4.4 litre turbocharged V8 producing 600bhp and 700Nm torque and reaches 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Also, it is the only vehicle of its kind in India.

All of us remember the famous Ferrari 360 Modena that was gifted to the little master by Fiat and all the controversy it led to. So, Sachin decided to replace it with a shiny red Nissan GT-R and to set it apart from the standard GT-R’s in India, his comes fitted with a custom Wald body-kit.

The car has been spotted on numerous occasions in Mumbai and is a legend in the performance cars segment, boasting of a 0-100 time of just 2.9 seconds thanks to its 545bhp twin-turbo V6. Nissan does not sell this car in India currently, but is considering launching it here soon.
