account for 7.26% of used car sales in the Indian market. Since, Maruti cars are known for their
durability, Alto also has the benefit of low cost maintenance.

3. Hyundai Santro: Hyundai is widely known for its hatchbacks and the best example is the
Hyundai Santro. Santro was a sensation in the automobile world. Its unique body design, fuel
efficient engine and durability are beyond compare. There are many Santro models being sold
every year and it accounts for 6.31% used car sales in the Indian market.

4. Hyundai i10: After the discontinuation of Santro, Hyundai came up with the i10. The Hyundai
i10 has spacious and driver friendly interiors which makes it a desirable hatchback. It was the
highest selling car for a brief period of time but is now replaced with the Grand i10 that has
considerable sales numbers. The i10 accounts for 5.74% of used car sales in India which is higher
than its counterpart Maruti WagonR.

5. Maruti WagonR: When it comes to buying used cars, WagonR is recommended by a large
majority. The compact sized car has been designed keeping the requirements of its Indian
buyers. WagonR is also known for its pocket friendly maintenance and low fuel consuming
engine. Including all the versions of WagonR, the car accounts for 5.6% of used car sales.
