Mahindra Names U301 Project As TUV300, Launch In Mid-Septmeber 2015

Mumbai, 30 July 2015 : Mahindra today named its much awaited SUV code named U301 as Mahindra TUV300, pronounced as "TUV 3-double-Oh" and where T stands for "Tough". In a press conference at Mahindra Towers in Worli, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Mr. Pravin Shah and Mr. Vivek Nayer revealed just the name for the battle-tank inspired SUV.

The TUV300 is based on an all new platform developed by in-house research and development team at the world class Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai. This platform will be used for many new models apart from TUV300. The tank-like TUV300 will be powered by the advanced, hi-tech mHawk engine.

The design of the TUV300 has been inspired by a battle tank with raised shoulders, high front nose, flat roof, high ground clearance and straight bonnet which gives an iconic true blue SUV silhouette.
