With Biometrics Jaguar Takes Centre Court's Pulse #FeelWimbledon Campaign

If you are among the fortunate people who can afford the $4164 ticket price to get into the stands of Wimbledon's centre court then you are surely in for a very exciting time. Well, Jaguar wants to help you to imagine what the excitement feels like.

As part of this multi-sensory fan experience at Wimbledon selected members of the crowd
enjoying the tennis this year will be provided with biometric wristbands capturing the excitement at SW19, whilst atmospheric, in-ground sensors monitoring the energy around the courts, and global sentiment on social media will be analysed.

Information Sources :
  • Atmospheric Sensors - which will collate crowd movements, audio level and infrared.
  • Biometric Wristbands - which measures heart rate, movement and location around grounds.
  • Sociometric Tracking - following the conversations amongst fans all around the world.

These Sources will provide a unique level of insight and present a completely new perspective on the greatest Grand Slam of them all. The insight will be pushed across Jaguar's social channels using the Hashtag #FeelWimbledon.

Jaguar's new XE and XF saloons, XF Sportbrake estate and range-topping XJ models will be working as chauffeur and support vehicles at this year's Championship.

Former British No.1, Tim Henman, who now sits on the Committee at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club said: 'When you talk about Wimbledon being a quintessential tournament and part of the British calendar, you can talk about Jaguar being a quintessentially, luxury British brand. I think they complement each other well.'

James G. Brooks, CEO of digital video platform Glass View Media, thinks Jaguar has the setting right—"their presence at Wimbledon is on point," he said—and gives it points for at least trying something cutting edge. "Any brand that's at the forefront of measuring social motivation, trying to better understand what makes humans tick, is heading in the right direction," he said.

The Championships, Wimbledon 2015 runs from 29 June to 12 July 2015.
