Chevrolet Beat 2016 Facelift, A leap Of Brilliance

General Motors has dropped a teaser image of the upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Beat in the New York auto show. Chevrolet calls its redesigned hatch sleeker and more aerodynamic.
The 2016 Chevrolet Beat receives hexagonal-shaped grille flanked by sweptback headlamps, prominent character lines, a sloping roof and a new tailgate with an integrated spoiler.

Chevrolet states that the new Beat will get more comfortable seats with higher-quality fabrics. This refreshed hatch will also receive colour-coded trim and trapezoidal air vents and a Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system with a seven-inch display.

There is a change under the hood as well as power is provided by a 1.4-litre Ecotec, four-cylinder engine that produces approximately 98 bhp. The earlier model produced about 77bhp and this is a huge bump in power for the car. The engine will be connected to either a five-speed manual or an optional continuously variable transmission.

The new Beat will have some tough competition in the entry level diesel segment from Maruti Suzuki as India’s largest car-maker plans to launch the Celerio diesel in a few months.

The US giants has bundled the new 2016 Chevrolet Beat with safety features such as Side Blind Spot Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert. A rear view camera will be offered as part of the standard equipment. All these info is very promising and sounds really great, However you have to wait for a complete year to have one in your parking garage.
