Mobil 1 Powered The 13th Edition Of Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm

The world's leading synthetic engine oil - Mobil 1 has always been associated with the toughest races in the most extreme conditions. This time it was proud to be associated with the 13th Edition of Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm. Mobil 1 was the official lubricant partner for the ‘motoring rally’ that commenced on February 23, 2015 in New Delhi and concluded on March 1 in Jaipur.

This year, Maruti Suzuki had further increased the extremity of the event and decided to include a night stage of 150 kilometres. For this, the participants were grouped into three categories – Moto Quad, NDure XPlore and Xtreme. The Rally included 20 female drivers and a total of more than 100 riders.

Expressing his views on Mobil’s association with the Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm, Mr. Ravi Sundar, General Manager Marketing- ExxonMobil Pvt Ltd said “Mobil has always been synonymous with engine protections and performance, and has been an integral partner with the leading automakers and award-winning race teams. We are always excited with opportunities of this kind that will take Motorsports to a different level in India and support the spirit of motorsports. We are proud to be associated with Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm and look forward to many more such partnerships in the future.”

The rally that started from the capital covered a total distance of 2,300 kilometres commencing at the culturally rich state of Rajasthan. Navigation and driving skills of teams were tested when their vehicles paced across the barren sandy stretch of Rajasthan and those who were caught unexpectedly had to disengage their cars from the precarious sand. This undoubtedly tested the endurance of man and machine to the limit.

Mobil 1, the World's Leading Synthetic Engine Oil features a Proprietary Multi-Layer Anti-Wear Technology providing performance beyond conventional engine oils. This technology permits Mobil 1 to exceed the toughest standards and provide exceptional protection against engine wear, even in extreme driving conditions, be it hot or cold.
