Mahindra Rodeo Uzo 125 Wins Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally 2015

A scooter rally, really? Yes, and its been around for a few years. For those who are not aware of the this, the Monsoon Scooter Rally is a popular event organised by Sports Craft for 26 years. The rally has gained enormous popularity over the years and attracts participants from Mumbai and the neighbouring areas.

The 2015 Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally was organised in Navi(Mumbai) on 8th and 9th August. Mahindra TwoWheelers has registered their second win in 2015 edition. The scooter was ridden by Shamim Khan, a four time winner of the same rally. Khan has completed one of the toughest and most challenging rallies, putting the scooter under the most difficult of tests. Khan has also been the winner of Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally in 2003, 2004 and 2010.

Mahindra Rodeo Uzo 125 has set new standards in the scooter department, for its best in class control and ergonomics, besides being a 125 cc scooter; it boasts several first in class features and is the country’s only scooter to sport a front fuel cap. On board safety features include Advanced Telescopic Suspension, high ground clearance, side stand alarm and 4-in-1 anti theft key. It also receives a digital console, mobile charging point, and illuminated storage space; making it a winner in its category.


Mahindra proved its stance, where handling and performance were concerned, helping Khan to steer to success across gravel, tarmac, and little puddles. Shamim clocked 31'59s and received his fourth victory at the Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally, winning against 39 other contenders. Khan was closely followed by Pinkesh Thakkar from Team Ceat, who clocked 33'45s.
