Tata Motors Sales Report For June 2015
India’s leading automobile manufacturer, TATA motors
continue to trend with an incremented growth rate in sales for June 2015. In
certain key segments like passenger cars (excluding UV’s), M&HCV and
Exports sales grew by 44%, 18% and 32%, respectively in this calendar year. The
global statistics show that a total of 40,870 commercial and passenger vehicles
were sold till June 2015 which amounts to a decisive growth of 6% increment
compared to last year’s sale of 38,574 vehicles.
Tata Motors is considered to one of the best Indian car
makers when it comes to rugged design and elegant looks. Tata Motors Limited is
India’s largest automobile company, with consolidated revenues of INR 2,62,796
crores (USD 42.04 billion) in 2014-15.
The company sales in domestic market also exhibited a growth rate of 3%
by sale of 35,823 commercial and passenger vehicles till June 2015. Cumulative
sales including exports for the fiscal were recorded as 116,511 in numbers
which is higher by 6% over 110,004 vehicles, sold last year.
Growth trend was mainly driven by the car segment
specifically by the launch of new Zest and Bolt and the new GenX Nano. The
passenger vehicle segment recorded a whooping growth of 30%. It was due to
inclined sales by 44% in passenger vehicles followed by the decline in the
sales of UV’s by 11%.This corresponded to the cumulative sales of all passenger
vehicles in the domestic market higher by 29% for the fiscal compared to last
year.
In the commercial vehicles, M&HCV sales
continued to show growth by sale of 11,450 vehicles which is higher by 18%,
over June 2014. The Light & Small Commercial Vehicle sales however
continued to reflect the industrial decline of 18%.This impacted the overall
commercial vehicles sales for the company in June 2015 in the domestic market
that was at 25,542 nos., a decline of 5%, over June 2014.
Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata
Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and
Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two
iconic British brands. Tata cars, buses and trucks are being marketed in
several countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, South East
Asia, South America, Australia, CIS and Russia. Such business ventures have
resulted in positive domestic and export sales. Export sales were recorded 32%
higher at 5047 vehicles compared to 3814 vehicles last June.
Tata motors have been
expanding their business ventures by means of direct or roundabout
collaboration with various firms. This has not only helped in enhancing their
brand base but has proven to be correct
for the statistical data showing their incremental growth rate in many
