Fiat India, a fully owned subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler
Automobiles, will be launching 4 new cars in 2014. Fiat has already launched
its all New Linea and will soon launch a New Punto.
2014 will see Global Debut of Fiat Avventura, a
contemporary utility vehicle (CUV) and launch of the Abarth brand with Abarth
500. The Abarth branded cars will be fully imported. Fiat India will be aggressively
launching its models this year and have high hopes to get some sales numbers
going.
Although the automobile industry was down 4.5% in the
first quarter (Q1) of 2014 and Fiat expects the Q2 and Q3 to be positive. In
2013 Fiat sold an aggregated figure of 2.47 million cars in India, which
accounts to mere less than 1% of the market share
