Skoda Expands Its Footprint, Gets Ready To Up The Ante!


Skoda Auto, commonly known as just Skoda, is an automobile firm originated in the Czech Republic and is one of the oldest automobile manufacturing firm in the whole world. The firm that sells 4 models in India, namely, Superb, Rapid, Yeti and Octavia and has nearly 66 sales and 67 service outlets does not want to ease on the brakes just yet, Just recently, Skoda has inaugurated the 'Grand Auto Capital Skoda', its new facility in the Delhi NCR region. 

The new outlet is strategically located in the heart of the metropolitan area at Netaji Subash Palace. It sprawls over a total area of 3,273 sq. ft with a refreshed 5-car display setup. Along with it, Skoda has also introduced a new service facility at the Wazirpur Industrial Area. It is another humongous outlet covering a total area of 17,048 sq. ft and is just 3 kms away from the Grand Auto Capital. This increments the strength of Skoda Auto in the NCR region to a total of 6 sales and 5 service showrooms.


If the words of Mr. Ashutosh Dixit, Director - Sales, Services and Marketing, are to be followed, this is just a start. The firm is looking to revamp the entire dealership network in the country which includes manpower training, customer friendly layouts and business process along with refresh design simply to exhibit the prowess of Skoda Auto. Commenting on the refreshing look Mr. Dixit said :
“Currently ┼áKODA Auto India is at an important juncture, strengthening the position of the brand in the country. We have invested in modernizing our dealer network to provide the ideal backdrop for the presentation of our refreshed model line-up to the customers. We are also pleased to partner with Grand Motors, who will represent the brand in Delhi. The new dealership will elevate the overall appeal of the brand and will play a key role in providing overall ownership experience. By end of 2016, about upto 50 percent of ┼áKODA India’s dealer network will showcase the refreshed appearance.” 

Friendly, Bright, Inviting and Customer Friendly: New Skoda Showroom  

Inviting and customer friendly seem to be the key points for the refreshing changes in the marketing strategy of Skoda Auto. The redesigned dealership network will cover more and more showrooms with attractive looks and a customer friendly environment. The exterior appearances will be completely renovated.

The Skoda dealership will sparkle during the day and shine brightly during the night. The interiors will be completely remodeled. Fresh colors, clarity, openness and transparency are the new highlights. The top priority are functionality and clear orientation for customers. The main objective is to make the customer the center of all the process and allow a fast, easy and direct communication between the customers and the sales officers. All the designs used will be extremely flexible and modular so that they can be adapted to different individual circumstances of the dealership. 

In order to elevate the experience even more, the company will be providing a next-generation iPad sales tool for the sale consultants so that they can explain the features of the car in the most interactive and engaging manner.

It seems that the basic idea behind the re-modelling of the dealerships and changes in the marketing strategy is to "woo" the customers. It is indeed a smart step by Skoda in order to increase their sales. Skoda has sold over 218,780 units since November 2001 and is surely looking to take that number sky high.
