Skoda Launches The All New Superb In India At INR 22.68 Lacs

Mumbai, 23rd February 2016: After more than a year of hiatus, Skoda India today launched the all new 3rd generation of its premium luxury sedan - the all new Skoda Superb in India starting at INR 22.68 lacs (ex-showroom Mumbai) for the base variant.

The new Superb will be available with two engine options - the 1.8 TSI petrol which produces 180 PS of power and the 2.0 TDI diesel which produces 177 PS of power.

Skoda Superb Petrol

The petrol Superb comes in 3 variants, two of which sport the 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch) automatic gearbox and one with the 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol Superb is powered by the 1.8-litre TSI turbocharged engine which produces max power of 180PS @ 4,000 - 6,200 rpm and max torque of 320Nm @ 1,450 - 3,900 rpm for the manual transmission variant and max torque of 250Nm @ 1,250 - 5,000 rpm for the automatic transmission variant.

Skoda Superb Diesel

The diesel Superb comes in 2 variants and both of them sport a 6-speed DSG (dual-clutch) automatic gearbox. The diesel Superb is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine which produces max power of 177PS @ 3,600 - 4,000 rpm and max torque of 350Nm @ 1,500 - 3,500 rpm.
