Ford Brings The Iconic Ford Mustang To India

Established in 1995, Ford in India manufactures and exports automobiles and engines made at its integrated manufacturing facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Sanand, Gujarat. Ford’s current range of award-winning products in India includes the Ford EcoSport, Ford Figo, Ford Fiesta, Ford Figo Aspire, and Ford Endeavour. This year, the company is treating the Indian customers with the legendary Ford Mustang in India.

Debuting ahead of the Delhi Auto Expo 2016 and set to hit Indian showrooms later this year, the new Mustang will bring the world-class performance and refinement of Ford’s iconic pony car to India’s roads. Since the Mustang first went on sale in 1964, Ford has sold more than 9 million vehicles. It has made thousands of appearances in film, television, music and video games and is the world’s most-liked vehicle on Facebook.

The clean-sheet design of the new Mustang evokes the essential character of the brand, retaining key design elements – including the long sculpted hood and short rear deck – with contemporary execution. A lower, wider stance with a reduction in roof height, and wider rear fenders and track are the key design features that define the new Mustang. Ford engineers equipped the Mustang with new front and rear suspension systems.  The new Ford Mustang comes equipped with the latest edition of the throaty 5.0-liter V8, now featuring an upgraded valve-train and cylinder heads that yield more than 420 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque.A new intake manifold improves low-speed breathing for better fuel economy, idle stability, and emissions.

The new Ford Mustang features a range of smart technologies. Ford’s award-winning SYNC connectivity system allows drivers to control the in-car entertainment using voice commands, keeping their hands on the wheeland eyes on the road.  Putting drivers in greater control of the open road, Selectable Drive Modes(SDM), allow them to toggle easily between normal, snow/wet, sport and trackmodes to quickly adjust steering effort, engine response, and transmission andelectronic stability control settings. And MyColor gauges and ambient lightinghelp drivers to customize the vehicle’s interior lighting color to their preferences.
