Renault-Nissan Alliance Donates One Crore Rupees To Chennai Flood Victims




In a charitable gesture to help the people of Chennai who were affected in one of the worst floods in the history of the city, the Renault-Nissan Alliance has stepped forward to donate one crore rupees to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.

Apart from this joint contribution, Nissan Motors India have also already donated INR 5,00,000 to the office of Joint Director of Industrial Health and Safety, State of Tamil Nadu. The donation has helped in procuring relief material in Tambram and Kancheepuram districts, which are closest to the Renault-Nissan Alliance factory.

Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, said, “We offer our deepest sympathy to those who have been affected by the worst floods in decades and express our admiration for citizens of Chennai, who have shown great resilience in these tough times. The Renault-Nissan Alliance has strong roots in Chennai and we will assist in all possible ways to restore normalcy including our employees and suppliers.”

In addition, the Renault Nissan Alliance set up separate Employee Relief Fund to provide assistance to employees who have suffered losses.
