OFF ROAD with GUL PANAG

Actress and an avid traveller, Gul Panag recently went on a challenging, women-only expedition, with her friend Swaty, from Manali to Leh in her customized Mahindra Scorpio Getaway, covering 2257 kms in 13 days. The adventures and experiences of this journey are captured in a three-part series ‘Off Road with Gul Panag: Ladakh’ which will air on the Discovery Channel, starting March 27, 2015 at 8pm. 

Produced by Tittar Lodge Productions for Discovery Channel, ‘Off Road with Gul Panag: Ladakh’ covers Gul’s journey from Manali to Rohtang, onwards to Keylong, Jispa, and Tsokar before entering the Indus Valley and exploring never seen before parts of Ladakh. Other highlights include passing the iconic Gata Loops – the 22 hairpin bends that ascend over 400 feet – and taking on the three highest motorable passes in the world, Khardung La, Taglang La and Chang La.

Episode 1 - The first leg of Gul Panag’s Ladakh Run covers her journey from Chandigarh to Tso Kar.

Episode 2 - Gul Panag’s Ladakh Run continues from Tso Kar to Leh.

Episode 3 - The final leg of the Gul Panag’s Ladakh Run, covers her journey from Leh to Hanle via the astonishingly beautiful Pangong Tso lake. Bringing to television for the first time areas of Ladhakh that have not been exposed to film, Gul takes you to the world’s highest observatory at Hanle as well as some of the oldest monasteries before she finds out that her adventures are far from over.
