car price hike

Almost all major car manufacturers in India have decided to increase the prices of models on sale. The hike in prices is anywhere between 2% to 5% depending on the company and the model. The hike is mainly due to the rising input cost in production of the vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki has announced increase in prices of its models between 2 to 4 percent whereas arch rival Hyundai has announced an increase of upto Rs 25,000 on all the models. French car maker Renault has announced 2.5 percent increase in prices on all its models while their Japanese partner Nissan has announced that they will increase the prices upto Rs 18,000 on all their models.

Tata Motors, Mahindra and GM India all have announced that there will be increase in price starting next year 2015.
